The forgotten blog?
Well kind of, we’ve been busier than a one legged man at an a*se kicking contest, and who really has time to blog? So what have we been doing? Product development, testing, redevelopment, marketing, planning and generally getting everything set sorted and done. In fact, I was so busy last year I didn't even get to a mountain, which was the whole reason for starting a company in the snowboarding industry. I had this vision of boarding, boarding, boarding with the company ticking along nicely.
The fact is I'll only get the chance to board this year in late March. Let’s hope there is still something to board on. The NZ season looks likes a long one, and it would be great to be back on the slopes in Queenstown, and hiding out at the Bunker till they tell you to leave.
We've seen some comments on the Stik that are along the lines of, hey who needs a pole. This for some people out there is true. The fact is our industry in growing and the more people who will try snowboarding the better it is for us all. If we can get rid of this elitist mindset to boarding (wasn't that the reason we rebelled against skiing for starters?) the more opportunities for everyone who is in the industry.
The Snowstik will definitely give people that early confidence when learning to board and then hopefully continue on boarding and go out and buy new a board, boots, bindings, goggles etc. As they progress to more advance runs, they’ll see when the piste is flattening and use their Snowstik to keep moving. When they become advanced, they can use the Snowstik to get up when in the powder.
So although we got some early “stik” ourselves from the too-cool-for-school crowd, the advantages are well known.
We’d like your comments, so add them and get a 10% discount (we’ll send you a code to the website).
Don’t forget the bag either, you can use it on your back if you don’t have a pack or don’t wont the Snowclip.
